Not fear.

The lie that says:
“If you just rest a bit, you’ll be ready to perform again.”
What if you don’t want to perform?
What if you’re not malfunctioning —
you’re just finally done pretending?

This isn’t about your job, or your last relationship, or “burnout” as a hashtag.
This has roots.

When you were a kid learning that value = output.
That being good = being useful.
That rest = laziness.
And now?
You’re here.
With the terrifying freedom of not wanting anything.
That’s not failure.
That’s not depression.
That’s not some crisis to fix.
That’s REBOOT.
The moment your system stops trying to win,
and starts just… watching.
So what do you do?
Nothing, at first.
Don’t fight it.
Don’t push through.
Don’t try to recover who you were.
Because maybe —
just maybe —
you’ve outgrown the performance.
Here’s the truth:
You can live like this.
You can move, work, love, build — even from this place.
But only if you stop dragging yourself back into a shape you no longer fit.
This isn’t about healing.
It’s about realignment.

You don’t attack.
You don’t resist.
You just let the force pass through you,
and use it to turn.
Even this tiredness —
is energy.
Just not the kind you’re used to calling “productive.”
So sit.
Stay unplugged a while.
There’s no race.
No call to arms.
No performance review.
Just this:
You’re not tired.
You’re just done performing.
That’s not a failure.
That’s a signal.
